We transfer video tapes using professional
hardware and a professional grade VCR. You can do it at home
with an expensive PC and get a 2nd generation VHS copy quality
DVD you will not be impressed with. Or with us, you can get
540 lines per inch from a professional Panasonic VCR and
authored on DVD using a broadcast quality program. The signal is filtered
and corrected before being digitized by the TBC-1000. We also
run the sound thru a processor called a BBE SONIC MAXIMIZER.
Our video tape transfers are second to none because we use current state
of the art technology. DON't FORGET TO INCLUDE ALL NAMES OF
ALL PERSONS IN THE FOOTAGE FOR USE ON OUR STUNNING HOLLYWOOD
STYLE LABELS!

Can I Transfer my commercial movie collection?
To the best of our knowledge, yes. Under fair use, it is
generally interpreted that you are allowed to make backup
copies for personal use in your home. We are not allowed to
bypass any encryption in the newer movies,
per a SUPREME COURT decision last year involving 321 Studios.
See also the statement published by
Best Buy, a
legal free advice website and more. If any companies
object to this interpretation of FAIR USE on legal grounds,
please contact us immediately and we will cease this aspect of
our operations. We are eager to help their customers enjoy the
movies they bought legally over the years when VHS was the
format of choice.
Do I need a transfer? Maybe yes, maybe
no. DVD provides a convenient way to improve the VHS tape
by changing or improving the soundtrack and color picture
using state of the art technology, also allowing for addition
of credits, editing out bad parts, or turning
raw amateur footage
from your own wedding into a wedding video. If you have poor
storage, with no true isolation from humidity, heat, magnetism
and water vapor, there is real risk to the tape over the long
term. You still should keep the original VHS as a master. Tapes are designed to
last for at least 20 years, and pros in the field, such as the
the senior editors and CBS, NBC and other networks use TAPES
for and argu they are literal permanent storage. They are lossless forever if stored and
used correctly. See
our article for info, read what an Apple Certified DV trainer
has to say.
Brian and Shelley say:
"Just wanted to let you know that we
received the wedding DVDs yesterday. They look fantastic...
The music at the beginning, the cover design, snapshots at the
end, etc were an excellent touch... We are so glad that we
discovered and used your service. Thanks again for a great
job!"

Improve Video Signal Quality –
Get clean video captures
Most video camcorders produce relatively unstable,
synchronized signals. This can cause poor video image quality
when capturing to your PC or recording to another deck. VCR's
also produce this interference. Tapes become stretched as they
age causing corrupt frames as well.
The TBC-100 corrects this by replacing all sync signals from
the video source with new signals.

Improve Audio Signal Quality –
Get clear crisp sound
Video camcorders and VCRs are designed to compress the sound
signal a great deal when recording. Even in professional labs
like Imax or Paramount, signal is lost. Example, a metallic
ring of a triangle in an orchestra, not very loud but VERY
crisp to the ear due to the instantaneous spike in sound at
the initial impact of the instrument. Tapes lose all of the
super high decible impact of the ting on the metal. This
machine is designed to literally restore where it thinks the
natural sound spike occured.
